Breath Intelligence®- Breathwork Session

Therapeutic Breathwork has many titles in modern yoga and somatic industries.

Breath Intelligence® is an educational and ceremonial blend of shamanic breathwork and hands on faciliation designed to nourish the body-mind-spirit and reduce stress, trauma response and unhealthy patterning.

The roots of this practice actually pre-date yoga as an indigenous or shamanic form of breath activation that restores life and wholeness to the' ‘Breather’. It is markedly different from traditional yogic pranayama - that keep the practitioner overlaying a breath pattern on top of their own true patterns and functioning in the frontal cortex (which doesn’t allow clearing through the limbic system).

Yogic Pranayama is highly effective in maintaining healthy lifestyle and habits - but not the right medicine for addressing longstanding illness, grief, fear or anxiety. For that, Facilitated Breathwork is a powerful, effective and illuminating path of practice that can be used to assist the breather to access and regain their optimal mental, emotional and physical health. Private Yoga can be anything from inner practices of meditation and pranayama to physical fitness-based needs for cardio and conditioning. We are leaving an era of body-obsessed postural yoga in the west and re-entering a period of yoga for harmony.

Sometimes we need cardiovascular or strength conditioning through movement, sometimes yoga for recovery and other times flexibility training is necessary. It really depends on what would bring balance and harmony to the Nervous System and Endocrine System for a students’ best possible quality of life.
